Installation of High-Voltage Rack Battery
 

Step 1:

Place the rack batteries into each level of the metal rack, and place the high-voltage BMS controller on the top level.

Step 2:

Use the screwdriver and screws to secure the batteries and the rack.

Step 3:

Remove the protective covers from the positive and negative terminals on the left side.

Step 4:

Install the wires: Connect the wires between the positive and negative terminals of the batteries, and install the communication wire on the right side of the batteries.

FAQ

Q: Can you stack server rack batteries?

A: The batteries may be stacked without a rack up to 3 units high. Further stacking poses a crush hazard to the battery on the bottom.

Q: What are some safety considerations when working with high-voltage batteries?

A: Only store batteries which are sufficient insulated against short circuiting. Cover the battery with a high voltage rubber insulation mat. Mark the storage with a warning sign. Please refer to manufacturer specific information where available and national legislation on storage of high voltage batteries.

Q: Can I store batteries touching each other?

A: Maintain separation from other batteries/objects: Batteries and battery packs should never be stacked on top of each other or have items placed on top of them. Rather, batteries should be stored in a single layer or in properly designed racks that prevent them from touching or applying pressure to each other.
