Household Off-grid Solar System

Project Requirements

During the day, solar power is used for electricity generation, with excess power stored in batteries to meet the evening air conditioning electricity needs of 13 rooms in the household for 8 hours.

Project Analysis
The household's electricity consumption primarily serves the needs of air conditioning, lighting, refrigerators, and televisions, with a maximum total power load of 30 kW and single-phase 220 V electrical equipment. Evening air conditioning electricity consumption is approximately 90 kWh, primarily supplied by the battery. Due to grid instability and frequent power outages, grid power supply is minimised whenever possible. During the day, the 30 kW photovoltaic power generation system meets daytime electricity needs while also fully charging the battery.

Product Configuration
1. Based on the customer's requirement for a 30kW single-phase system, three 11kW off-grid hybrid inverters are connected in parallel to achieve a total capacity of 33kW.
2. A 30kW photovoltaic system is adopted, with a maximum daily power generation of approximately 160kWh. This not only meets daytime electricity needs but also ensures the battery is fully charged.
3. The batteries are directly connected in parallel using 8 upright 15kWh batteries, with a 90% depth of discharge (DOD), providing a discharge capacity of 108kWh. A DC combiner box is used to connect the batteries and inverter.

System Features
1. The hybrid single-phase inverter can be used with both photovoltaic systems and grid connection, and is equipped with Wi-Fi.
2. The single-phase inverter is paired with low-voltage 51.2V batteries, offering a cost-effective solution.
3. The upright battery with wheels is easy to install, portable, and convenient for after-sales maintenance.
4. The battery supports up to 16 units in parallel, and the inverter supports up to 8 units in parallel, meeting all household usage scenarios.
5. It essentially achieves a self-generation and self-consumption model, enabling grid independence and eliminating the hassle of unstable grid power and outages.
